PetUni ("PetUni", "we", "us") operates the PetUni website and mobile app — a community platform connecting pet owners with their local pet union: vets, pharmacies, groomers, hotels, and other pet businesses. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
We share data only where needed to run the service: our database and authentication provider (Supabase), our push-notification providers (Apple and Google/Firebase), and our hosting provider. If you report a pet lost, a limited alert (pet name, photo, and general area) is shared with other members of your union — never your exact address. If you book a service, the details you provide are shared with that specific business.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete a pet profile at any time from the Pets screen. To delete your entire account and all associated data immediately, go to Profile → Delete account in the app. Business accounts must contact us at the address below first, since closing a business affects other users of that business.
PetUni is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.
We use industry-standard measures — encrypted connections, access controls, and database-level row security — to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information appropriately.
You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time from within the app, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA — contact us to exercise them.
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app. The "Last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
